The stones are heated to a comfortable temperature and used flat along the back and gliding along the limbs, with oil so they move without dragging. Your therapist then follows with hands-on work where the muscles still feel tight, so the session is never just heat.
Where the tension usually sits
Most clients come for shoulders, neck and lower back, often after long days at a desk or on their feet. Tell your therapist at the start if you want more time on one area, and the stones and pressure are adjusted around that.
What to expect afterwards
Expect to feel warm and sleepy for a while. Leave the oil to absorb for a few hours, drink water, and avoid a heavy gym session straight after. Many clients book a course of six and come once a month.
