HOW TO PREPARE FOR WAXING TREATMENT
Don’t shave or use depilatory creams for 3 weeks before waxing. (Hairs will be trimmed if necessary).
Refrain from taking a bath (showering before your appointment is fine).
Do not apply lotion to the skin before waxing session.
Loose fitting clothing is recommended to avoid rubbing.
Avoid drinking Alcohol before the session. It makes blood rush to the surface, increasing sensitivity, dehydrating the skin and increases the chance of bruising, blood spot and reactions.
AFTERCARE ADVICE
Avoid all heat for 24-48 hours following the treatment. (waxing removes hair from the root leaving you with open follicles. If you go to the gym, expose your skin to heat or sweat too soon after a wax, you are likely to get a reaction like rash, friction, burn, itchiness or even some spottiness). Avoid hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only).
Avoid sunbathing, sunbeds or spray tans.
Avoid massage, saunas or steam rooms.
Avoid exercise or swimming for 24-48 hours.
Avoid fragranced body lotions or sprays.
To soothe and protect the skin, apply an antiseptic cream to the waxed area regularly for 3 days following your treatment.
Apply hydrating cream once or twice per week to avoid skin becoming dry and to allow new hair to grow through normally.
Gently exfoliate your skin once a week with gloves or sponge to avoid ingrowing hairs. Over exfoliating will cause ingrown hairs.
