In the late 70s, Lydia Jordane was working as an aesthetician in Brisbane, Australia. During this period, the industry saw an increase in demand for hair removal services and Lydia herself began to experience more requests from her customers for these types of treatments.

However whilst performing these services, Lydia struggled to find a suitable wax product on the market that worked the way she expected for herself and for her clients.

Hailing from a family of cosmetic chemists and a mother who was a couturier with an amazing eye for detail, the solution became obvious- it was the perfect time for Lydia to set to work and create her very own wax.

Developed in her home country, Lycon was the first of its kind to incorporate the soothing and conditioning properties of Azulene, Aloe Vera, Camomile, Rose and Lavender within a depilatory wax system.

Today, it continues to be manufactured there in its own facility, guaranteeing consistency and quality.
