FAQ's

Why should I use a Tanning Bed Lotion?

  • Dry skin reflects up to 40% of your UV tanning rays giving surface tan that fades quickly.
  • Using a tanning bed lotion can keep your skin hydrated and boost the color 40-70%.
  • Your skin has a pigment compound called Melanin. Melanin helps protect your skin from the sun and the amount of melanin the skin produces combined with how close to the surface it is determines how dark you tan! A Tanning lotion will help stimulate the amount of Melanin the skin produces. This allows you to tan faster!
  • The latest lotion technology includes antioxidants that help prevent fine lines and wrinkles and keep the skin young and healthy.

WHow long before I start seeing results?

Most people start seeing results by their third visit. Please note that a tan does not appear overnight. You will need to develop a base tan first. And remember to tan smart-gradually over time.

How often can I tan?

You should have 24-hour time gaps between your tanning sessions, with results seen 12-24 hours after each session. Two tanning sessions within a 24-hour period is considered over-exposure.

Why is it important to have a base tan?

Moderate exposure to UVB rays will develop a natural barrier in the skin, protecting the body from excessive UV light. UVB rays stimulate the production of Melanin, which absorbs and distributes radiation to thicken the layer of epidermis. If this photo-protection (base tan) is not developed, sunburns may result.

Must I wear protective eyewear during indoor tanning?

The googles, which will be provided to you during the indoor tanning sessions, are vital. Your eyelids alone do not offer sufficient protection against UV light, which may damage the cornea and retina, leading to cataract. It is reccomended that you never enter a tanning bed without eye protection.

You may want to purchase your own pair, Health and Safety is our first priority.

Why does a tan disappear after time?

A tan disappears because the top layer of our skin sheds its cells every 28-30 days. To prolong a tan, you may want to keep your skin moisturized. However, maintaining your tan requires repeated tanning sessions. It has been proven that indoor tanning usually lasts longer than natural tanning.

Is tanning indoors smarter than outdoor tanning?

Definitely! Our customers are exposed to a scientifically controlled dosage of ultraviolet light carefully formulated to tan you with minimal risk of sunburn. That kind of control is virtualy impossible outdoors, where variations such as seasonality, time of day, location, geography, weather conditions, altitude and the Earth's thinning ozone layer make sunburn much more likely.

Because sunburn is main risk factor for skin damage, it is definitely smarter to tan with the professionaly trained staff.
